Installing a smart water shutoff system is one of the most effective ways to protect a home from unexpected leaks and water damage. In this project, we installed a Moen Flo automatic shutoff valve on the main water service line to monitor usage and instantly stop water flow in case of a leak.
The installation required modification of the existing 1” copper main line, including reconfiguring the piping layout to properly integrate the system. The existing pressure reducing valve was relocated upstream of the Moen Flo unit to ensure proper operation and meet current plumbing code requirements.
New copper fittings were installed to align the system, and all connections were completed using clean, professional soldering techniques. Once the installation was complete, the water supply was restored and the system was tested for leaks and verified for proper operation.
