Moen Flo Smart Water Shutoff Valve Installation in Los Angeles

Installing a smart water shutoff system is one of the most effective ways to protect a home from unexpected leaks and water damage. In this project, we installed a Moen Flo automatic shutoff valve on the main water service line to monitor usage and instantly stop water flow in case of a leak.

The installation required modification of the existing 1” copper main line, including reconfiguring the piping layout to properly integrate the system. The existing pressure reducing valve was relocated upstream of the Moen Flo unit to ensure proper operation and meet current plumbing code requirements.

New copper fittings were installed to align the system, and all connections were completed using clean, professional soldering techniques. Once the installation was complete, the water supply was restored and the system was tested for leaks and verified for proper operation.

Smart shutoff systems like Moen Flo provide real-time monitoring, automatic leak detection, and emergency water shutoff — helping prevent costly damage and giving homeowners peace of mind.

Why Install a Smart Water Shutoff Valve?

  • Automatic leak detection and shutoff

  • Protection against major water damage

  • Real-time water usage monitoring

  • Increased home safety and control

Professional Water Shutoff Valve Installation

Proper installation is critical for these systems to function correctly. This includes correct valve placement, pressure regulation, and secure connections to ensure long-term reliability.

We install and configure smart shutoff systems to meet code requirements and integrate seamlessly with your home’s plumbing.

Tankless Water Heater Maintenance & Descaling in Los Angeles

Your water heater needs maintenance just like your car.

Tankless systems are efficient, but they are not maintenance-free. Over time, minerals in the water build up inside the heat exchanger, reducing efficiency, restricting flow, and putting extra stress on internal components.

Without regular descaling, this buildup can lead to inconsistent hot water, higher energy use, and eventually costly repairs or system failure.

In this project, we performed a full descaling service on a Navien tankless water heater. The system was flushed, cleaned, and tested to restore proper performance and ensure reliable operation.

Routine maintenance helps protect your investment and keeps your system running as it should.

✔ Descaling to remove mineral buildup

✔ Improved efficiency and water flow

✔ Reduced strain on internal components

✔ Extended system lifespan

✔ Reliable, consistent performance

Sewer Line Epoxy Lining & Lateral Rehabilitation in Los Angeles

Sewer line issues don’t always require full replacement. With modern epoxy lining solutions, it’s possible to restore structural integrity and extend the life of existing piping systems with minimal surface disruption.

For this project, we performed a complete sewer lateral rehabilitation using both 4-inch and 6-inch epoxy liners.

To access the line, a trench was excavated near the property line to expose the existing sewer lateral. The system was then hydro-jetted to remove buildup and prepare the interior pipe surface for proper liner adhesion.

We installed a 4-inch liner toward the building and a 6-inch epoxy liner extending to the city connection. After installation, a camera inspection was performed to verify the integrity and alignment of the liner.

The system was then reconnected using new ABS piping, fully tested for leaks, and the trench was backfilled and compacted.

Scope of work:

  • Trench excavation to expose sewer lateral

  • Pipe preparation and section removal

  • Hydro jet cleaning

  • Installation of 4” and 6” epoxy liners

  • Post-install camera inspection

  • Reconnection with new ABS piping

  • Leak testing and backfill

This process restores flow, seals damaged sections, and significantly extends the life of the sewer system.

Underground Gas Line Replacement in Los Angeles

Old, rusted gas lines can pose serious safety risks — especially when they are buried underground and not easily visible.

At Pacific Plumbing Team, we specialize in underground gas line replacement throughout Los Angeles and surrounding areas. In this project, a deteriorated gas line was carefully removed and replaced with new polyethylene (PE) piping — a modern, durable solution designed for long-term safety and performance.

Why Replace Old Gas Lines?

Over time, metal gas pipes can corrode, crack, or develop leaks due to soil conditions, moisture, and age. These issues often go unnoticed until they become dangerous.

Common signs of a gas line problem include:

  • Smell of gas around the property

  • Sudden increase in gas bills

  • Hissing sounds near gas lines

  • Dead vegetation above underground pipes

Gas leaks aren’t always visible — but they can be hazardous. Replacing outdated lines is the safest way to protect your home and family.

Modern Polyethylene Gas Piping

We use polyethylene gas piping for underground installations because it offers:

  • Corrosion resistance (won’t rust like metal pipes)

  • Flexibility for ground movement

  • Long service life

  • Reliable, leak-resistant connections

This makes PE piping the preferred choice for modern underground gas line systems.

Professional Installation Process

Our gas line replacement services include:

  • Careful trenching and exposure of existing gas lines

  • Safe removal of damaged or rusted piping

  • Installation of new polyethylene gas lines

How Plumbers Detect and Repair Hidden Water Leaks in Your Home

How Do Plumbers Detect Hidden Leaks in Your Home

Leaks cause homeowners significant damages plus a hefty water bill. That’s why detecting a leak in the house early is crucial. Professional plumbing experts play a big role in leak detection, especially for ones that are not visible.

There is a difference between a regular plumber and a leak detection specialist. The latter use specialized tools and techniques to find hidden leaks within and outside your homes.

Since it is not uncommon to have leaks around, we’ll talk about how to find leaks in the house and repair them without causing damage to our property.

Signs You Have a Water Leak in Your Home

Plumbers Detect and Repair Hidden Water Leaks in Your

Leaks are not always visible to the naked eye. Often, they are hidden between walls, underground even. So how do we know we have a leakage going on? Here are signs you should look out for:

Increase in Water Bills

It is almost possible to confirm a leak when your water bill suddenly has an increase from the usual average. If you’re using water just as usual without any changes in your consumption, but your bill says otherwise, then it’s time to call the plumber.

It can be hard to tell if the increase is not that of a significant amount. But it is something you should not overlook. The most common cause of increased bills is leaking toilets – the quick solution is to change the flapper inside the tank or the flush ball.

Visible Foundation Damage

If you notice damage in your foundation, there is probably an underlying water leak. One of the most daunting issues a homeowner can face – foundation leaks can threaten the structural integrity of your home. The hydrostatic pressure a leak can create may push the foundation and cause cracks. Thus, compromising your safety.

Wet Flooring or Pooling Water

Water seeping through your floor can be caused by a leak or a pipe burst. This visible sign should be addressed immediately as this can damage your flooring, walls, and even the appliances and furniture that might get wet.

Damp or Moldy Walls

Mold and mildew are the result of too much moisture in the air. If your walls start having a buildup of mold, then there is a possible leak behind it. Some molds release toxins that can be a health risk for you and your family.

Leaking Sounds

Water flows through your main water lines all the time. But you can’t hear it because your pipes are closed when you’re not using them. However, if that system develops a leak, you will start hearing running water sounds. Depending on the leak size, the sounds can be a gush or droplets of water.

Musty Odors

When you notice an unclean, possibly moldy smell inside your home, a leak comes to mind. This smell can be an earthy smell of rotten wood caused by mold and dampness. Most likely, somewhere with wooden flooring or walls has already been damaged by water.

Low Water Pressure

Water leakage can cause your water pressure to drop. No matter how big or small the leak is, there will always be a difference from the normal water pressure you have in your home.

Sagging Ceiling

Water damage can cause your ceiling to sag. Apart from sagging, other signs your ceiling has sustained a leak problem are stains or discoloration, peeling paint, and cracks or bubbles. Broken pipes in between levels must be repaired quickly to avoid further damage.

Causes of Water Leaks

Leaks in your water system can be a result of a variety of causes. This problem doesn’t only cause you damage and increase water bills, it also wastes water and encourages unwanted organic growth inside your home.

The main causes of leaks are the following:

  • Corrosion – old galvanized pipes should be replaced especially when they turn out to be rusty. Corrosion can eat your pipe away and start a leaking problem.
  • Clogged lines – clogged pipes can lead to overflowing of water, or worse, bursting lines. There can be many causes of clogging within your water lines, limescale included, especially in areas with hard water.
  • Broken seals – when water appliances like your dishwashers are installed, a seal is placed on the water connector. As your appliances age, the seal breaks off or wears out, mainly causing a leak between the connections.
  • Damaged pipe joints – pipe joints are the weakest point of a water line. It deteriorates over time and can cause leaks. Unfortunately, these joints aren’t always visible since they can be under the floor, behind walls, or placed underground.
  • Excess water pressure – excessive or uneven water pressure can strain your pipes. Most faucets and pipes have a pressure limit and too much can cause bursting or leaking water.
  • Tree roots – underground leaks can be caused by protruding tree roots within your water line. If you notice wet patches in your yard or a puddle and a sinkhole, you most likely have an outdoor leak.
  • Loose connectors – hoses and pipes can become loose and may lead to leakage. Shifting motions usually cause this – like when your washing machine or dryer spins.
  • Temperature change – extreme temperature changes can cause pipes to expand contract. This creates cracks within the pipes especially when the pipes freeze during winter.

Importance of Leak Detection

Homeowners like you must understand that early leak detection can save you and your family from risks and costs. While leaks can be inevitable in each home, locating and detecting leaks in the early stages can save you 3 important things:

  1. Time – undetected water damage can put you and your family at risk. When you are exposed to a home with an underlying water leak, it’s a matter of time until someone gets sick from the toxins from molds that form within.
  2. Money – the damages of water leaks to your home can be alarming especially when the leak sustained is in a hidden area that can take you long to notice. Your appliances can be ruined, the structural integrity of your walls and ceilings might be compromised, and your pipes will surely need replacements – all of which can cost you a few hundred to thousands of dollars.
  3. Effort – cleanup and repairs take a lot of effort from homeowners. Hiring professional cleaners can be expensive on top of the plumbing issues you must address. And honestly, taking care of the mess a water leak leaves can be draining.

Professional Methods to Detect Leaks

How does a plumber find a water leak underground? – If you have this question in mind, then reading through the blog will give you the answer.

Huge plumbing issues like water leak detection are better left to the experts. They have special plumbing leak detection equipment to detect the problem without causing any harm to your property. And because of the expertise they already have, locating the leak will be easier.

So, how do plumbers find leaks? The answer is the following methods and techniques.

Visual Inspection

Our licensed leak detection plumbers generally start with a visual inspection to see if there are any visible signs throughout your home. Their expert skills and intuition help them analyze the signs and symptoms of water leaks. This expertise allows them to locate, assess, and repair your water leaks quickly to prevent any further damage.

Water Pressure Testing

This method, also called isolation testing, allows plumbers to observe water pressure movement, usage, and loss within your water system. A water pressure gauge is attached to a fixture connection where the flow will be observed and tested.

Video Pipe Inspection

With the use of a specialized camera, our plumbers at Pacific Plumbing Team can detect inaccessible pipe leaks through a video pipe inspection. No demolition is required for this method.

This works by the camera attached to a scope rod that is manipulated and maneuvered around your water system. Once inserted into the pipe, our technician will observe the live video feed on the linked monitor to locate the water leak.

Audio Equipment

We use a series of audio equipment to listen to leaking sounds through drywalls, cabinets, and other obstructions. These tools include listening discs, ground microphones, and deck plates that are powerful enough to listen through concrete and brick walls.

Thermal Imaging Cameras

Heat scanners or thermography cameras can allow plumbers to detect leaks behind walls and through floorboards. This is an effective way to look at large areas quickly when the use of audio equipment is impractical.

Soil Probe

Also called pipe probes, allow plumbers to detect underground leaks in the sewer and main water lines.

Dye Testing

We use this method to detect water leak problems related to the toilet or pool systems. This is a non-invasive way to trace leak locations. A high-visibility dye is used to observe the flow of water.

Why You Should Call a Plumber for Low Water Pressure Issues

Why You Should Call a Plumber for Low Water Pressure Issues in Your Bathroom

Many different factors can cause low water pressure in your home, from the water valve to the possibly low supply of your water district. Finding the cause of the problem can take a lot of time, so the best single solution is to call the plumber.

Imagine yourself having a nice, peaceful breakfast at the table. When suddenly, your kid, all soapy and wet, from the second-floor bathroom yells, “There’s no water!!!”

Such panic can disrupt a supposed peaceful morning before going to work or school—all because the shower isn’t working as it should. The cause? The water pressure is low upstairs.

We’ll help you avoid this kind of situation. In this blog, we will talk about low water pressure in your home. We will cover the main reasons for this problem and how to fix it.

Identifying Your Water Problem

Plumber for Low Water Pressure Issues

Low water pressure is a common home plumbing issue. It affects not only showerheads, as in the scenario we mentioned, but also faucets, dishwashers, toilets, and other plumbing fixtures.

How can you be certain it’s related to the water pressure?

Well, it’s fairly simple. You live in your house, and you pretty much know the “normal” pressure of your water. Which should be anywhere from 40 to 46 PSI (pounds per square inch). So if that becomes disrupted, suddenly becomes low, or you experience no water at all, then that’s the problem right there.

Why You Should Call a Plumber to Solve Your Low Water Pressure at Home

Calling the experts in plumbing can bring you a great deal of benefits. When you have them solve your low water pressure issue at home, you somehow get relieved of the stress these plumbing issues cause you and your family.

Ensure Constant Water Pressure Levels

No matter what the cause is, your plumber is there to help you get consistent water pressure across all the floors in your home. Hiring a plumber ensures you get steady water pressure right when you need it.

Avoid More Serious Plumbing Issues

Hiring a plumber allows your water system to be checked thoroughly. Technical causes that affect your water pressure, such as leaks and pipe problems, will also be solved. Talk about hitting two birds with one stone, right?

Convenience

Our team of experts makes sure that you experience comfort and convenience while we take care of the issue. From finding the root cause to implementing the solution – all you have to do is sit back and relax while we get this all sorted out.

Peace of Mind

They say money can’t buy peace of mind. We say, nope! It definitely can! Especially when you use your money to hire an expert to solve your plumbing dilemma. When home issues like plumbing problems like this are solved, you sleep better at night knowing the problem is done.

Non-Technical Causes of Low Water Pressure

If you’re experiencing sudden low pressure in your home, you may be surprised that it can be due to a couple of simple causes that don’t really require fixing.

However, it can be frustrating, especially if you’re in the middle of a shower like the kid in our example above. And we totally understand why!

Too Many People Using Water Appliances

If you notice water pressure is not consistent if family members inside your home are using water appliances simultaneously, it means the pressure cannot keep up with the demand.

This typically happens on specific occasions when your family uses a combination of plumbing fixtures, like when your wife is using the sink while the children upstairs are each on their bath routine in the morning.

A few adjustments, like taking turns, can be made so that this won’t be a constant issue, especially when the water pressure seems fine throughout the day and night.

Water Supply is Low

If the problem is not inside your home, then it’s probably your neighbors. They might be using water in high demand, and the supply for other houses may become limited. It can be annoying to experience this loss or slow down in the water supply, and you can definitely blame your neighbors for that.

Unfortunately, it is not their fault. Your water supply district might not have informed you of a possible water supply change. This only happens when your municipal water supply district is fixing something in its chain. Or the water supply isn’t just enough to cater to everyone adequately.

Natural water resources are piped and directed to treatment facilities that serve your area. The water is then transferred to pressure tanks that provide water in your neighborhood. So, if the demand becomes too high, your provider might not be able to keep up.

Main Reasons for Low Water Pressure

After checking the water supply and your family’s usage – you realize the problem isn’t there. There’s a change in water pressure in the house. So where could the problem be?

Let’s move on to the main reasons you’re experiencing this low-pressure problem and where to look them:

Partially Closed Main Valve

If you’re wondering how you can increase water pressure in the apartment, checking the main valve can help. The main valve is found on the main waterline immediately after the waterline enters the home. It’s responsible for controlling the water flow inside your house. If it is partially closed, the water pressure is reduced, which can possibly cause the issues you’re experiencing that affect the whole house.

There are different types of main water valves. One is a lever that moves 90 degrees, and another is a gate valve with a rotating handle. If you want to open the valve completely, just rotate it counterclockwise until it can no longer turn, then turn it back a little bit to avoid possible leaks.

Partially Closed Individual Valves

Just like the main valve, when individual valves in your bathroom or kitchen, which are located beneath the sink cabinet, are partially closed, the water pressure becomes affected. Fixing water pressure in the shower can be as easy as opening its designated valve.

This occurs when the water is briefly closed and is not turned back all the way. The quick fix is just to rotate the handle counterclockwise to open the valve and turn it back a quarter fully so there won’t be a leak.

Partially Closed Water Meter Valve

Apart from the first two valves we discussed, there’s another valve you can check. This one is located in your water meter—the one that the local utility company uses to measure your water consumption. The valve is usually outside your home. If this valve is partially closed, then it’s the reason the water flow is restricted.

Pressure Regulator Failure

Both high and low pressure are not good—it should be just enough to adequately accommodate your home’s water demand. Too high water pressure can damage fixtures like showerheads, faucets, appliances, and water lines, while too little pressure can become a headache for the user.

How to repair low water pressure, then? Check your water pressure regulator if it has been set correctly. You can adjust this on your own or call a plumber to do the job.

If you find the regular on the correct setting, it could indicate a failure, and you might need a replacement. In this case, we recommend contacting a reliable plumbing company, like Pacific Plumbing Team.

Plumbing Leaks

Leaks are, of course, almost always inevitable—especially in areas you don’t see often. One issue they can lead to is low water pressure in your home as the water gets redirected out of the pipe.

This leak can be huge, especially if it’s affecting large areas of your home. If you need an emergency plumber, don’t hesitate to call us! We offer same-day service to fix your leaks on the spot.

Problems within Your Pipes

Corroded or clogged pipes can also cause the low water pressure you’re experiencing. Rust and limescale buildup are two enemies of your plumbing pipes that cause many plumbing issues.

Galvanized steel pipes last around for 20 years. Copper pipes can go as long as 50 years. And the brass ones, up to a whopping 70 years. But no matter how old these pipes can last, they should be replaced at the end of their life.

If you live in an area with hard water, mineral buildup is likely, and thus, pipes can have a shorter lifespan. You need a professional plumber to inspect the condition of your pipes, especially when you need to replace them.

Clogged Aerators

A common issue of too low pressure of water in specific plumbing fixtures is having a clogged aerator. Aerators are the small attachments you can find in faucets, bidets, and showerheads.

Its function is to mainly regulate the flow of the water that comes out so it doesn’t splash when you use it. Oftentimes, mineral deposits and debris can clog the aerator, thus affecting the pressure of the water that comes out of it. So, how do you fix the poor water pressure? Cleaning or replacing aerators in your fixtures should solve the problem.

Small Branch Lines

Another cause of low water pressure is having small branch lines. This can significantly impact the water distribution to various fixtures in your home.

During periods of high water demand, small branch lines struggle to accommodate the required flow throughout the home. Upgrading these branch lines into bigger-diameter pipes can alleviate the problem and restore normal water flow pressure.

How to Deal with Low Water Pressure?

Dealing with water pressure issues at home involves identifying the problem that causes it at first. Second, we need to take action and solve the problem.

If you find yourself asking this, “My water pressure at home is low, what do I do?” We suggest checking all the possible reasons we listed above and listing down what you observe in each one.

Once you know the problem and the cause for it, move to coming up with a solution. If the problem is just a partially closed valve, it would be easy to just open it. But if the problem is more complex like pipe leaks and small branch pipes, we recommend calling the experts in plumbing.

The Cost of Emergency Plumbing: What You Need to Know

The Cost of Emergency Plumbing: What You Need to Know

Plumbing emergencies can occur anytime. From a burst pipe, a backed-up toilet, or a gas leak, all of these situations require the immediate attention of a plumber. But just as when you’re about to dial your trusty plumber for ‘rescue’, you’ve stopped in your tracks with one question in mind: how much would a plumber cost during off-hours emergencies?

Overall, calling a plumber like Pacific Plumbing Team comes with a certain cost. But if you’re wondering how much a plumber charges for emergencies, you’re at the right post. Below, we discussed average plumber call-out charges, factors affecting the cost, and where you can find an affordable service. So, keep reading!

How much do plumbers charge per hour during emergencies?

In general, a plumber’s cost per hour in Los Angeles varies widely. It depends on the type of work needed to be done, your location, and other factors we’ve discussed in a separate section below.

After hours plumber cost could range from $100 to $170 per hour. Some plumbers also charge an emergency fee, which could be anywhere from $100 to $350, especially if you’re calling on a weekend, a busy holiday, or a stormy day.

On the other hand, you can also find emergency plumbers that charge a fixed rate for small jobs. Some would not charge by the hour, but instead provide a quote based on the type of work needed to be done.

Factors affecting emergency plumber rates

An emergency plumber cost isn’t set in stone. You should keep in mind that the following factors will impact your final bill when you call an emergency plumber like us:

1.  Your location

The first thing that impacts the emergency plumber price is your exact location. If your place is hard to reach or is located far from our headquarters, we may charge an extra fee during emergencies.

Also, if you’re calling a national company, they may impose a hefty logistics fee to respond to your location. This is why you should always consider hiring a local plumber instead to save money and receive faster service.

2.  The type of emergency

Aside from location, your emergency plumbing cost is also affected by the actual type of problem you have. For example, fixing a sewer backup is more complicated than having no hot water. Imagine having an overflowing toilet at 2 AM – the higher cost of service is surely reasonable.

Regardless of the time of emergency, complicated plumbing work will surely set you back more than basic maintenance. Also, you have to factor in additional expenses like water damage repair or drywall replacement, among others.

3.  Parts and materials

A plumber call out cost is also influenced by the materials and parts needed for the job. For example, you may need a new faucet, pipes, thermostat, water heater, and whatnot. All these will add up to the total cost of your emergency plumbing.

4.  Timing of your emergency

So, how much do plumbers charge for emergency calls? On average, emergency plumbing during holidays often cost up to 3x more than a regular weekday.

On the other hand, emergency plumbing on weekends usually cost twice more. And of all emergency calls, those at night on a weekday cost the lowest by about 1.5x the usual rate during business hours.

5.  Your chosen plumber

Lastly, your choice of plumber can also affect the cost of your emergency call. While an amateur handyman’s service is cheap, they don’t have the license and training for bigger jobs. For most plumbing emergencies, you’ll need master plumbers who know the ins and outs of various plumbing systems.

If you want to save some bucks from hiring a professional plumber, you should always hire local. This way, you can still get quality plumbing without having to dip into your savings.

Common plumbing emergencies and their plumber rates

The cost of emergency plumber services varies widely based on the problem you have. Below are some of the most common calls we get and the average costs you can expect in general.

IMPORTANT: Take note that this pricing is inconclusive and you should contact us at Pacific Plumbing Team if you want to get an accurate estimate.

  • Burst pipes. In Los Angeles, repairs for your burst pipe could cost around $500 to $850. However, if the damage is extensive or there’s been flooding and water damage, your final bill may be as high as $1,400. It’s because the plumbers may need to remediate the other damages present.
  • Sewer backups. If you have a backed-up sewer, snaking it may cost about $400 to $650, depending on how long the pipeline is. And if the blockages won’t budge, you’ll need hydrojetting, which could cost around $600 to $1,000. In some cases, you may have to shell out a few grands if you have the worst sewer problem.
  • Clogged drains. A simple clogged sink or shower drain doesn’t usually cost much to fix. You may be charged about $300 to $400. However, the cost can still climb up to $1,000+, depending on the intensity of the clogging.
  • Gas leaks. A gas leak may set you back by about $400 to $1,200 – or more if you have extensive damage on your gas lines.
  • Water heater problems. Most of our emergency service calls for water heaters are for simple replacements or repairs. It usually costs our customers about $150 to $1,200 for complete replacements.

How to avoid a plumbing emergency

Aside from the cost associated with emergency plumbing, it also brings inconvenience to you and your family. So, instead of waiting for another emergency to occur in the middle of the night, you should start practicing these preventive measures:

1.  Mind what you flush

Many cases of overflowing toilets and blocked sewer lines we’ve fixed are due to a buildup of toiletries and sanitary items. All these can cause a nasty blockage, but the good news is that it’s easily avoidable.

Take note that you should never flush paper towels, sanitary pads, tampons, dental floss, and diapers down your toilet or drains. All these will just get caught on your pipes and give you an expensive problem to fix.

2.  Don’t use exposed pipes as a clothesline

If you have exposed pipes at home, you should never hang anything on it. Never use it to hang clothes, tools, or even decorations. These items put unnecessary weight on the pipes, which can cause it to break or burst.

3.  Know the location of your shut-off valve

While knowing where your main shut off valve is won’t stop plumbing problems from happening, it will at least let you minimize the damage it could bring.

For example, when a burst pipe happens, you can easily shut off the water supply, so it won’t cause major water damage on your home.

4.  Schedule regular plumbing inspections

You should never wait for plumbing emergencies to happen before you call a professional plumber. Instead, you should schedule at least an annual inspection to look for weak points that can cause problems later on.

Also, it’s best to schedule the inspections before winter so you can ‘winterize’ your plumbing system and prevent frozen pipes.

5.  Don’t let minor leaks sit

We always tell our customers to address leaks as they happen – no matter how small. In our experience, many homeowners ignore small leaks only to discover that it already caused extensive water damage in their property.

Aside from that, small leaks can be ticking time bombs. In some cases, a small leak can be a warning sign for an impending pipe burst.

6.  Install a root barrier

If you have trees around your home, we highly suggest that you invest in root barriers for your sewer line. It’s because tree roots can enter your plumbing system and cause a major blockage that could require an expensive hydrojetting session.

7.  Watch over your utility bills

Any sudden changes on your utility bill can be a sign of a hidden plumbing issue. There might be a leak that you haven’t seen yet and causing more and more damage to your home by the day.

If you notice that your water bill is unusually high without changing your usage, it’s best to call us for a thorough inspection.
